One of our favorite golf vacations in La Quinta California, is too stay in a La Quinta casita, play the Norman and Stadium Courses (With 150 slope, Pete Dye's course is a killer, but what a challenge!). Of all the courses we have played, these stack right up there with our very favorites anywhere! We have a little golf tournament here every year with some of our old golfing buddies on the West Coast and these are the golf courses we love to play. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse is worth the trip! With 150 slope, Pete Dye's course is a killer. But what a challenge!
Desert Willow Golf Resort, a 36-hole playground, may be one of the best municipal complexes in the country, providing a super California golf experience. Desert Willow uses effluent water and the Southern California Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects was so impressed it gave them the award for water and land conservation and reclamation.
